The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
